Calling all citizen scientists! iNaturalist will be hosting its 9th annual City Nature Challenge and we want YOU to be a part of it. From April 25-28th, post as many sightings to the iNaturalist app as you can. In 2024, Houston and Galveston placed 7th in the world, can we make it to the top spot in 2025?

Beginning in 2016 as a humble competition between two cities, it has now grown to an international event, with more than 51 countries participating! iNaturalist is a community-driven citizen science project that helps users learn about the nature around them and contribute to scientific research.
